On June 29, on the initiative of the President of Poland Bronisław Komorowski, in the courtyard of the Presidential Palace in Warsaw was held a gala concert on the 70th anniversary of the death of Ignacy Jan Paderewski – a prominent musician, statesman and an ardent patriot.
Polish Security Printing Works, established 92 years ago by the decision of I.J.Paderewski, was co-organizer of the concert.
The ceremony was attended by state representatives, church authorities, diplomatic corps, MPs, senators, and representatives of scientific and cultural community. Guests listened to the Symphony in B Minor "Polonia" of I.J.Paderewski performed by Sinfonia Varsovia conducted by Jerzy Maksymiuk.
The ceremony was broadcast by TVP Kultura and Polish Radio 2.
