More banknotes from Poland for Paraguay
 (09-12-2014)

PWPW S.A. has signed a contract with the Central Bank of Paraguay for the production and delivery of 28 million banknotes of two denominations: 10 000 and 20 000 guarani. This is the second contract awarded to the Polish company for the production of banknotes for Paraguay.

The conclusion of the contract was preceded by participation in a tendering procedure, during which PWPW S.A. won against the leading companies from all over the world that specialise in banknote manufacturing. In the case of the first denomination it will be the second series produced by PWPW S.A. The previous series banknotes were delivered in 2012 and were put into circulation earlier this year.

This is not the first foreign contract for banknote production. During the years 2011-2012 the Polish company produced and delivered banknotes for Guatemala and Georgia. PWPW S.A. is also in the small group of companies authorised to produce banknotes on polymer substrates, and it is listed by the European Central Bank as a producer licensed to print euro banknotes.
