"Pamiętamy 10.04.2010" - commemorative stamp honouring the 7th anniversary of the Smolensk tragedy
 (10-04-2017)

Seven 7 years have passed since the government plane crash TU-154M near Smoleńsk. 96 persons were killed in the crash, including the President Lech Kaczyński and his wife Maria Kaczyńska. The Polish Security Printing Works and Poczta Polska S.A. pay homage to the victims of this tragedy, producing and issuing in 2016 a numbered stamped block "Pamiętamy 10.04.2010”(We remember 10 April 2010").

The stamp depicts the presidential couple, late Lech Kaczyński and Maria Kaczyńska, against the background of the national flag. The names of all the victims of the Smolensk tragedy are listed. The stamp block was made in offset technology, with an embossed eagle as its characteristic feature.

Today's anniversary is also the first day of circulation of the stamp, which can be purchased in the branches of Poczta Polska.
