On Wednesday (28 February), the Extraordinary General Meeting of Shareholders of Polska Wytwórnia Papierów Wartościowych S.A. appointed new members of the Management Board of the Company. These were Janusz Kowalski and Dariusz Nowakowski.
Janusz Kowalski holds a degree in law and has also completed post-graduate studies in company law. In 2014-2015, he was Deputy Mayor of the City of Opole, and in 2016 Vice President of the Management Board of PGNiG S.A. In addition, he has held positions on many supervisory boards, mainly in the power sector, including: Operator Logistyczny Paliw Płynnych sp. z o.o., Investgas S.A. (PGNiG S.A. Capital Group), Energetyka Cieplna Opolszczyzny S.A. Since 2017, he has served on the Supervisory Board of KGHM Polska Miedź S.A.
Dariusz Nowakowski is an economist and has also completed post-graduate studies in, among others, European Management and Integration, as well as MBA. For many years (from 1999 to 2014) he was an employee of PWPW S.A., where he held mainly managerial positions, including responsibility for the sales and research and development divisions. In addition, he held managerial positions in both public administration and the private sector. In 2016, he was the Director of the ICT Department at the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Administration. In addition, he has held managerial positions with Smartrac Technology GmbH since 2014.
