On 11 March 2010 at the Sheraton Hotel Andrzej Bogun, member of PWPW S.A. Management Board received a special Editor-in-chief award of “Gazeta Bankowa” for popularizing the idea of secure mobile transactions by creating the mToken System.
Password-protected network resources and Internet transactions made daily by millions of people around the world carry a risk of data or money theft. Single-factor authentication systems, such as static passwords (login, password) do not adequately prevent this threat.
mToken of PWPW S.A. is a two-factor authentication system: a combination of static password with a one-time password generated by an application installed on your mobile phone.
This is currently the strongest on the Polish market method of transactions confirmation and it provides optimum protection against phishing, man-in-the-middle and man-in-the-browser attacks.
mToken of PWPW S.A. is based on cryptographic mechanisms consistent with the standards recommended by OATH Open Authentication Organization.
