PWPW signed a contract with the Ministry of Transport, Construction and Maritime Economy for the delivery of digital tachograph cards.
In accordance with the contractual provisions, PWPW will ensure a complex service of a digital tachograph system for the next four years. The company will accept applications as well as produce and personalize four types of processor cards: driver’s card, company card, service card and control card.
The digital tachograph system in Poland was launched on 1 May 2006 – in accordance with the EU directives and regulations. It was elaborated by PWPW in a record-breaking period of time – just 7 months – which made Poland one of the quickest countries to implement the digital tachograph system in its entirety – not only with regard to card distribution, but also to the connection to the TACHONET system. The complex service of the digital tachograph system in Poland has been ensured by PWPW since the beginning. As of today, the company has personalized over half a million tachograph cards.
Apart from the service of the Digital Tachograph System in Poland, PWPW is also performing contracts for the implementation of digital tachograph systems and the delivery of cards for the Republic of Armenia and the Republic of Azerbaijan. Both the elaboration of the digital tachograph system and the elaboration and personalization of cards for both countries are performed in Poland.
