In the half of May PWPW signed a five-year contract with the Georgian Transport Authority (LTA) for the supply and maintenance of the digital tachograph system for Georgia.
The subject matter of the contract includes designing and start-up of the system dedicated specifically for Georgia, personalisation of approximately 5 thousand cards and distributing them to the final users. Georgia is the third Caucasus country in which PWPW is implementing the digital tachograph system. The company is already performing similar contracts for the Republic of Armenia and the Republic of Azerbaijan.
In Poland the digital tachograph system was launched on 1 May 2006 per the EU directives and regulations. It had been built by PWPW at record speed – 7 months – which made Poland one of those countries that have implemented the digital tachograph system in full (issuing cards and connecting the system to the TACHONET) in the shortest amount of time. Comprehensive support for the digital tachograph system in Poland has been provided from the very beginning by PWPW. In October 2012 the company signed the digital tachograph system support agreement for the next four years.
