VERSO ID^® is a personalised element of recto-verso consisting of two partial images. In the personalisation process, they are generated by the system and their shape is strictly connected with the data personalised on the document. Unique images are applied to both sides of the document by laser engraving technology. When viewed by transmitted light, the recto and verso of the document form a complete image. A scanner and software with special algorithm for checking the compatibility of the image and data in the document is essential to verify this security feature.

VERSO ID^® is not the only patent-protected invention of PWPW S.A. The company has also developed a colour personalisation technology of polycarbonate cards ( PCP^®) used in new driving licences. Moreover, PWPW S.A. has its own polycarbonate page personalised for passports.
