Polish Security Printing Works became a partner of the 17th Frederic Chopin International Piano Competition that began on 1 October.
This is one of the most important and the most prestigious artistic and cultural events in Poland this year. The great importance of this competition causes the best young pianists from all over the world to attend it. The concerts also always draw a full audience.
PWPW had printed special invitations for the most important guests on special letterhead with water mark in the shape of a note, as well as diplomas for the competition’s winners. The prints were made by utilising special printing techniques. The invitation consists of two elements: the cover and the special, unique commemorative card with steel-engraving portrait of Frederic Chopin. Dry embossing was also used to reproduce Chopin’s signature. In the commemorative card’s background one can spot the security features used in other secured prints, such as micro-printing, micro-lettering and relief.
